I love powerful images. For me, they are more potent than words. They tell a story, unearth emotions, awaken or calm the senses, and transcend language – all within a glance. And with every successive glance, they evolve.

 I have identified as an artist since childhood. I love creating in a variety of mediums. I constantly try to capture, whether in paint or with my camera, the breathtaking beauty that surrounds me and, though I sometimes fall short, it is this creative struggle that I enjoy so much. I am constantly seeing and discovering, playing with light, color, paint, or pixels, attempting to capture so much that is to me ineffable. 

I am also intrigued by the formal qualities of design that are the underpinnings of abstract compositions. With paint, I play with the push and pull of space that both defines and denies itself at the same time. With my camera, I find beauty in the mundane, capturing something that might go unnoticed in a new light, again using formal principles of design to hold the viewers' attention and see anew.

After earning my art degree in NY, I worked as an artist, photographer, graphic designer, and art teacher. I have shown in galleries and my work is in collections around CA and beyond. I have worked with and continue to learn from master artists in various disciplines. I am constantly learning and discovering each time I create.
